Fibercomp DEF (Andro)

The magic weapon for defensive players searching for outstanding control! If you combine this seven-ply defensive blade with long-pips rubber, you can easily play dangerous stop blocks that drop just over the net. Furthermore, the Fibercomp DEF blade enables you to play knuckle balls that are very disruptive. Thanks to a construction strengthened by two fiberglass veneers, you can quickly switch to offense, as the need arises. When playing defense, the high-class plywood technology produces excellent reversal of spin. The balsa core makes the blade lightweight and provides ideal ball feedback. The blade width is around 6.14″ (15.6 cm), with an extra large sweet spot that minimizes the chance of mistakes!

  • Balsa-fiberglass composite defensive technology
  • Five balsa plies, two fiberglass
  • Specially developed for players who use knuckle balls and disruptive techniques
  • Fantastic ball feel and excellent control
  • High spin reversal when playing defensive strokes

Playing style: DEF. Speed: 75/98. Control: 100/100. Weight: 85±10 g. Stiffness: 89/100. Plies: 5+2.

I cannot rate this blade highly enough.I have used this blade for a full season now,and I am going from strength to strength.I find it extremely light to handle and my coleagues say the same.I currently play with Stiga Destroyer (Black ox) on my back hand and Tibhar Super 40 Defense on my forehand,I am a classical medium to long defender. The blade is ideal for long pimples and the control I get is unreal. You can feel the ball on the blade whatever the stroke which is a big help in determining the strength of shot I make.I like it so much I bought two just in case one gets damaged.Hope this helps you descide.

The andro fibercomp defensive blade is a very good blade for choppers and other defensive players. the control on the blade is not extraordinary, but it defintiely matches the control on other defensive blades. The speed is actually faster than most other defensive blades i felt. when i put some tenergy on this blade, i actually felt pretty comfortable looping with it. This blade is good for a player who likes to chop, and attack once in a while. It also seems to be really good for long pips, because it has a very elastic core thats great for spin reversal. Being only 50 dollars, i think this is a great blade to start out with for defensive players.
