Solcion (Butterfly)

Butterfly introduces Solcion, a new softer sponge addition to our High Tension line of Table Tennis Rubbers.

Solcion offers great speed and spin and excellent glue sound, all in a more controllable high tech rubber. Solcion’s softer High Tension Sponge holds the ball on the racket a little longer giving you more control over both your own returns and your opponents as well.

the butterfly solcion is a very soft rubber indeed with a relatively high throw angle.
its a very durable rubber but i think it would suit an atackers backhand better then a forehand because its very good for blocking and placing the bal behind the net our wherever you want it.its perfect for short game play, Looping against underspin is also very easy but hitting with the soft rubber is difficult because it lacks some power for a finishing shot, over all a very good rubber for a backhand, for the Fh there are much better rubbers available

The Butterfly Solcion is an incredibly soft rubber that has a pretty good combination of speed and spin attributes. It has good control as well.

The rubbers pretty tacky, and the rubber is soft and pretty fast. It also has a pretty high throw angle for such a soft rubber, so you have pretty good control on different loops. I personally do not like it too much because it is too soft, and there is just not enough explosiveness, power, or spin associated to the rubber for my liking. Its pretty good counterlooping and blocking as well, but nothing really special, just that you can control you shots pretty well. Overall, since its even more expensive than tenergy now, i would recommend you try something else for the money.

This is the softest rubber in the High Tension series from Butterfly. It's rated at 28 degrees from the manufacturer, but it is not as soft as say, Desto F3 from Donic. Solcion is quite a nice rubber, it's got sriver-like speed, but it has a softer sponge so the ball catapults better when you loop the ball hard. This rubber also has the highest throw out of all the High Tension rubbers, and looping underspin is quite easy.

Typical Butterfly rubber with very good durability, but at $47 a sheet it's too expensive.

The most dissapointing butterfly rubber of this Year. Butterfly ratings are completely FALSE, don´t trust on what they say, they lie!!
It´s way soooooo soft, I´ve played many years with Sriver EL-Fx but this is is even softer also slower, however it has nothing to do with srivers glued or unglued: this is a really slow rubber, more similar to Tackiness D but less grippy and almost twice expensive. If you want it to work decently it´s a MUST using Speed-glue or boosters, but don´t consider to use it without speed glue, it sucks :(.

The Solcion is a typical controlled attack rubber. It's pretty soft, so it's more suited for topspin attack. According to Butterfly, the Solcion should be faster that the Sriver FX, but I don't think te Solcion isn't that fast at all. The Solcion gives you a lot of control, but lacks speed. Not suiteable for the hardhitter. Nice rubber for the controlled attacker.
