Hurricane 2 (Double Happiness/DHS)

Hurricane 2 (Double Happiness/DHS)

This is a power weapon. The 2005 world champion, Wang Liqin, with his extraordinary top spin strokes is using this rubber, specially developed for offensive players. During its development, it was considered that the 40mm ball needs a faster catapult. A slightly weaker sponge is the basic material, giving the rubber an extra speed. Assuming that you are the type of aggressive player, acting with fast topspins near the table and trying to get the point with the first stroke, then the Hurricane II is the perfect choice for you.

very inconsistent bounce. the only thing this rubber is good for was for chopping and service -- where the spin was enormous. DHS produces several kinds of Hurricane -- provincial and national versions. Make sure you don't buy a commercial version for mass distribution. DHS has capitalized on the popularity of Chionese players claiming to use Hurricane rubbers but those rubbers that the chinese players are NOT commercially available, according to a Chinese coach.

The dhs hurricane is a fast chinese rubber with a hard and firm sponge, the spin is very good with this rubber if and that is very important you can control it, and it is not an easy rubber to control because of the hard spong, you will love it if you have the right teqnique our you will hate it. For the ones who can control this thing it will be the attackers dream, very fast looping and hitting is possible when you attack every ball, and very spinny serves, dont go defending with this rubber because blocking and short game are not easy . rubber made pure for attackers on the fh,

If you love the feeling of glued up Jap/Euro rubber stay well clear of this beast. Unglued, the rubber is hard, real hard in fact im not sure there was sponge under the topsheet more like hardened plastic. Unglued this rubber is plain weird with absolutly no dynamism. Throw is lowest ive ever ecountered (makes Bryce feel like 729FX!). Gluing changes things dramatically this is a low arcing, looping spin monster. Short game outperforms most Japanese rubbers, nice linear input over the range But you gonna have to prime this with gallons of speed glue to soften the Kevlar like sponge. For me this rubber seems slightly obsolete with SG/booster ban. Shame

The hurricane 2 is obviously one of the world's fastest, spinniest rubbers, used by world champion Wang Li Qin. It is the perfect rubber for attacking, but you need to be careful because it does not have good control, so you need to make up for it by developing a really good feel in your arm. The Hurricane 2 is harder, tackier, and less controlable than hurricane 3, so it is generally used by pros only. This is a must have rubber for any offensive oriented player!

This rubber is super, but only if glue 6-7 times before trying it. Using it brand new for the first time wont be pleasant I recommend gluing it to the paddle and removing it a few times. the day before playing with it and allowing it to dry each time. Once this is done it plays super. I use it on the backhand and it is a very big weakness for me, but with this rubber I can loop with deft precision, power and control. My backhand counterloop is like Karakasevic when using this rubber. I hardly have a backhand loop so you can imagine how good this rubber makes me feel. It raises my game by at least 3-4 points as no one can now take advantage of my backhand weakness and with a big forehand drive it leaves little option but to hope i miss at some point.
