889 Neo (JUIC)

Do you like to `smudge it` - the ball we mean, like spread it quickly allround the table putting the pressure back on you opponent as quickly as possible - then 889 could be suitable for you. Short pimples require you to be quick to the ball to get the best playability from them. Push, block flick early and they will work well for you. They are also helpful for returning service spin.

Updated version of the popular pips out 889 rubber. New topsheet and sponge. Outstanding rubber for the attacking and counterdriving pips-out game.

This is a speed glue short pips rubber, though i am not sure if it works without speed glue or with aqua glue. anyways, this rubber is pretty standard short pips rubber, except the pips seem to be more sparsely spaced. I feel that it is a little hard to control the direction of the ball, because sometimes the ball hits on different angles of the pips. It is like very "short" pips rubber. The rubber is pretty fast, great for smashing and driving, like all other short pips rubber. The spin is standard of short pips rubber. I think it is better for the forehand just because of the little lack of control for direction
