Hammond X (Nittaku)

Hammond X (Nittaku)

HAMMOND X has greatly increased spin while maintaining excellent speed! Hammond X is a new generation based on the "integrated Energy (ID) rubber HAMMOND. Hammond X differs from Hammond in that the brand-new technology "nano-composite" is used when mixing the chemical component of Hammond X. In the "nano-composite", the chemical component ground up to nano level is compounded, so the characteristic of each component is emphasized. In particular, the sponge of Hammond X has 70% synthetic rubber to make the spring effect maximized as the result of the nano-composite. So, you will find that spin is greatly increased, while maintaining excellent speed!

I started using this rubber after i got tired of my Mark V. This rubber is actually very good for intermediate players working on improving to an expert. The reason is, this rubber is not as fast as the likes of Bryce, Tenergy and those kind of high end Butterfly rubbers but it is quite fast and very well controlled with a decent durability. This rubber helps to improve ur looping technique, and ur control on all strokes.

Recommended for any intermediate player planning to improve their stroke and looking for a good rubber to do so

i use this rubber a very long time before speed glue is not allowed for my backhand side. it is still one of my all time favorite backhand rubbers. it is great for players like i was who do not have very good back hand loops and are not confident with their backhand. it is very good with smash, psuhing, blocking, drivnig, counterdriving, etc. the feel on this rubber for backhand is much better than other rubbers.

my style is block, countersmash and sidespin drive with backhand. this rubber is just the right speed, spin, and control. i could block very strong loops onto the table easy with this rubber, while not giving a second free shot. very good!

Nittaku Hammond is a great rubber for players that like to control the ball a lot. It has pretty good speed and spin, but what makes it distinct is that it implements great control with the speed and spin, and that is ultimately what makes it a classic offensive players rubber.

I used to use this rubber on my backhand while using dhs hurricane 3 on my forehand with a stiga clipper blade before the glue ban (unfortunately this rubber does require speed glue to perform at max efficiency). I could feel the ball very good with it, my backhand easily counterlooped my opponents shots or angled them with blocks. They are also good for looping underspin. I highly suggest this rubber to any attacker.

(Red 2.0) Hammond X is the right stuff, if you´re after a good speed glue ALL-rubber with OFF-qualities! It´s got good touch over and hight bounce off the table. It becomes very spinny too with speed glue! Only without it, it seems to be weak for spinny attacks. I´ve played COR SS before and consider the Hammnond X more versatile and almost equally fast, if glued. It´s got advantages in half distance rallies, whereas the COR SS is easier to play close to the table. I have never had a FH-rubber that kept it´s qualities as long as this one! I´ve played it for about 5 months straight only taking off the layer of glue every month or so and it still kept it´s spinny character. If I hear people talk about changing their rubbers all the time I only wonder why they don´t try this one!
