great hitting rubber close-to-table. also for returning serves. I just wonder how Liu Guoliang managed to play away from the table using this rubber -- but he did!

my chinese coach told me to use short pips for a while when i was a beginner, i used several different kinds, but this i used first.

basically, using the short pips gets your stroke very small since you have to have very precise timing. the pipse of clippa is very wide, and lower. short pips are mostly used for a smash and drive style. clippa has a really fast speed in my opinion compareed to other short pips rubber. it is much lighter and explosive in the shots. but the control is very bad, as with all pips rubber. you ned to have very good touch with smooth rubber before you start using clippa, or it will not work!

Stiga Clippa is your textbook short pips rubber. It is short pips, so it is not like long pips, where the rubber reverses the spin. Short pips cancels out the spin, allowing for deadly fast smashes. Just like other short pips rubber, Clippa is not used to generate massive spin, but rather to smash and use speed to defeat your opponent. For a pips out rubber, Clippa is surprisingly durable, you can use one sheet for a long time. The effects of regluing are not very obvious, but it is recommended. For its cheap price, Clippa is a great pips out rubber to buy!
