The long pips rubber is more of a defensive rubber for people who like to stand next to the table and control the ball. It is not really a chopping long pips rubber. The shots that it makes is very floating like. It can make some very good trick shots. The spin on it is also good. The rubber reverses spin greatly. The control is very good as well, perfect for blocking. At a 50 dollars though, it is pricey.
