Flextra (Butterfly)

A flexible topsheet on a soft sponge produces good spin with moderate speed and exceptional control. Rubbers like Felxtra are perfect for the player relying on variation of speed and spin to force errors from the opponent.

This is one of the cheapest rubbers in Butterfly. Personally, I feel that this rubbers is for beginners trying to learn strokes of all kind. The control is good. Once the beginners grow out of the initial stage, this rubber would be quite useless to them. I also think that this rubber is not nearly as fast as the better rubbers such as Bryce. So maybe Butterfly made it to be defensive or an all round rubber. Because of the control , this rubber can also be a chopper. I do not think any offensive or all round+ players would use this rubber as it is more slanted to the defensive side due to the control compared to the speed.

The butterfly flextra is a rubber which can be used by beginning players to allround players.
It has very good control but is not fast at all and misses the punch needed to finish of a shot, spin is ok but not very impressive, Blocking how ever can be done very good with the flextra. For a beginner rubber and that is what butterfly calls it , it is a very good rubber because of the great control and the low price but once you get better this is not the right choise.
