Kiso V (Butterfly)

Kiso V (Butterfly) This innovative and attractive blade is made of only one type of wood, which is 100% Kiso Hinoki. It combines extravagant design, lightweight and exceptional feeling, while Kiso Hinoki offers powerful and dynamic offensive playing features which can not be compared by any other type of wood.

I am not a big fan of Hinoki wood made blades, so ill make this as unbiased as possible. Basically, the Butterfly Kiso V is a blade with awesome control with pretty good speed, but not outstanding. The hinoki wood is a really soft wood (that is almost like cork) that gives you really control, but it gives you soft fast shots, instead of the stinging shots that i like.

I say, if you are a offensive type player, you should definitely use some really bouncy and powerful, thin rubber with this. If your rubber is too soft, the ball will go nowhere with this combination. I do not suggest this blade for advanced players, as it will cause you to rely too much on your blade for control.

If anyone wants to speed the game up a bit coming from the Primorac OFF-, this is what you should try! Very good feel, easy to play topsins, still good control over and off the table. Coming from various Donic blades like the PowerPlay V2 I fell spontaneously in love with this product. It´s got everything you need for the special touch and still has enough power to put your opponent under a lot of pressure! I play it with a Hammond X on fh and a LKT XP Pro on bh and find it hard to imagine that any other wood could suit my style of game better than this one. For spinny loops and follow-up-smashes as well as tricky drop shots.
