G666 (Double Happiness/DHS)

The G666 rubber sheet offers a long lasting sticky surface together with new developments in sponge layer molecular design.

Used by Wang Hao for aggressive looping and forceful attack, the special elasticity of the sponge improves the ability to control spin and place the ball effectively, making the G666 rubber perfect for a players who stands just back from the table and varies the speed and spin of their return.

I am really not sure if DHS G666 is supposed to be a defensive or offensive rubber, because its too tacky to be that of a offensive rubber, but too fast to be a defensive. The rubbers notable characteristic is the tackniess of the topsheet. You can create some great spin with this rubber. Its great for playing spinny balls (flip, push, chop, etc.), but when it comes to speed and power, it is simply not fast or elastic enough to give the ball the umph needed to loop the ball over with power. this is a good rubber on backhand maybe, because the control is okay. I am not sure what this rubber was made to do.

Excellent rubber to do virtually everything, initially the tacky topsheet gives you the impression that the rubber is very very slow, however once the initial "new" tackiness wears off a bit the speed and power comes through. I've never speed glued this rubber so cannot comment on how it responds to it, but have used this rubber on an offensive blade, which will allow you to have good power, whilst keeping control when you need it. If your used to using soft sponges or prefer using soft sponges you probably won't like using this rubber. Also one last thing to add the consistency in strokes is also excellent.
