Narucross EX Soft (Nittaku)

The New Narucross EX rubbers have the Narucross “cross system” PLUS the Narucross “tension” in its maximum form! Maximum tension resulting in maximum power and performance without speed glue. Recommended for using without speed glue, for best speed-glue performance. Narucross EX is available with EX Soft (softer sponge) and EX Hard (harder sponge). Soft version is very spinny with more control; Hard verson is speedier with good spin.

Excellent rubber. I used it for FH and (earlier) for BH. Feeling is quite similar to Tenergy 05FX, although it is slower. But it has much more control, more forgiving and thus very suitable for a "not top-class" player as FH rubber. Especially I like amazing control in topspins from mid-long distance. Spin is excellent. Blocking is good. It is quite tricky to return serves as it is quite bouncy in short game / chop, but nothing too critical. Serving is good: I feel I could generate more spin than with Acuda S2 but slightly less than with T05FX.
Overall, an interesting solution for a spin/control oriented player.
I would never think of switching to any other rubber if it was more durable. Unfortunately, it is the least durable rubber I had ever played with. I feel that it would be a cheaper solution to use Tenergy taking into account the rubber change rate :-(

great backhand rubber. amazing at counterlooping on the table. can generate great spin from anywhere. looping away from the table is also very easy. i dont think ill ever switch to another backhand rubber. the built in speed glue effect lasts for quite a while too. ma long got it right when he put this rubber on his acoustic. the throw angle is fairly high. you dont get the explosiveness that you get from tenergy but its still very fast. overall i say its a great rubber and worth any price.

Nittaku Narucross EX Soft is a very control oriented rubber. It does not have like an explosive feel, but the control that you feel is awesome. It very soft, both the rubber topsheet and the sponge.

The spin and speed are both phenomenal, but personally, i just do not get an explosiveness from like, Tenergy 05, for example. It is very fast though. I would suggest it for backhand, because its not too good for loops high arc, high spin shots. I liked it for smashing, coutnerlooping, blocking, etc. because of its high throw angle and great control. It is a very good counterattack rubber.

Overall, i highly suggest this rubber for backhand shots.

Quite a nice suprise this rubber is!!

Very soft, but has a very nice glued pop in it. Has high throw, and quite easy to play close table...I would say this one has better control than my G2FX, even if it's at 2.2!

The rubber produces very very strong spins and one can easily counter the ball 4-6 meters away from the table..yes, easily!!

Like i said, it's a surprise. I have used the Platin, thosugh it's a monster away from the table - the EX Soft does not dissapoint, though it's slower than the platin, it makes up for the monstrous spins it generates.

Very nice rubber.
